Neglect=Good

During the last few months, I have neglected the camera a little bit. Summary of the time spent riding: Road touring, California urban trail scouting, enjoying the local rain storms, built my first wheel set (with help from Ty) and got a little out of shape (see below pictures of Cherry Coke Bonk during the modified TMP Challenge Course).

The cool temperatures have been a welcome relief from the Tucson heat. After a week of riding northern San Diego County, I have a good grasp of what needs to be done to make a ~60 mile epic loop. This area is home to dozens of preserves, when connected together, you could have a potential for a huge, full day epic. Enter a week of scouting and "getting back into shape."

As you can see, the camera has taken a back seat recently in my solo riding during the past month.

New Starr Pass Trail

I had a few opportunities in May to hit up some Starr Pass, something I have recently not been able to do. Jonathan gave me a tour of a new (to me) trail. Climbing in granny gear was the theme of the entire ride. Check out the views of Tucson in some of them!

Beginning of Summer

I have some pictures that I have not been posting during the past month. The end of the school meant a few of my students were moving on to college. Pretty cool ride before they move on to college and beyond.









It was also (as this was back in May) cool enough to do some weekday techy rides.

Grind

I really been enjoying the new house lately. The commute into work on singletrack combined with some weekly rides to break up the daily grind has been a delight. As May comes full swing, daylight really is allowing more riding time....

Just in the past week, I think I rode nearly every trail in 50-Year and CSP. Everything is in primo condition (save Cherry Tank, too sandy).
