I am a sucker for Martinez Canyon and Rincon Road this time of year (or anytime of year where there is some rain). I phoned Jeff and Nancy a week ago and asked them if they wanted to ride around the Gila area for 1-2 nights. They opted for 1 night since grades were due (for Nancy and I actually).
We did the Picketpost Loop on the AES website and added in some Arnett Canyon, which I rode 2 years ago here. There has been some work since then on the canyon, although it is still in so-so shape given the equestrian use. Either way, I love this area.
