Blue

Some might call the weather around here hot, it is perfect riding weather. No bikepacking since I am still not 100% better; I till have the occasional cough from the asthma/viral infection. I had some dreams about making it over to the Tortolitas again this morning, opted instead for some 50-year goodness. I had to take it pretty easy since I am still coughing from time to time. This cough thing seems to happen every time I do a 24-Hour solo race. I will probably be sitting next year's race out, though no promises since I seem to say that every year.

Make sure to take advantage of the weather. Turn your TV/PC off, grab your bike and book and ride to the nearest coffee shop.

Yellow is the new Green

The singlespeed and I have been becoming friends since the 24 HOP. Darren came down from DC to see Arizona singletrack. I showed him Deer Camp first, about 3 miles of slow, technical riding

That ends at the base of this creek and

near Deer Camp, a nice place to camp I must admit. We layed on one of the two beds before winding back down past the water trough

And then we went up Cherry Tank for some more SS climbing terrain. This is where Scott M would say, Ahhhhhhh singleeeeeeeee speed if he was there.
A good day on the bike was had, that was for sure. Great weather, mid-70s. It was great to get the feet moving.

Hi‧a‧tus

Check back in March for more bike-related posts. A month away from broadcasting all my rides and races is in order.

Solitude being the goal. Write less, read and ride more.

Edit: Check out Scott's blog for some epic rides or venture here to create your own ride.

ur‧ban single‧track

Eric and I rode a quick 2 hour ride tonight. I brought the camera along in order to take some pictures of some of the newest singletrack in the northwest side of Tucson.

Have you ever seen such well groomed, urban singletrack before?
