North Rim Bikepacking

Frequently, our minds and legs call upon us to do a big ride....typically, you can prepare for these type of rides. Other times, work gets in the way.

The Kaibab 150 was on the day after graduation. The weeks leading up to graduation, I have senior trip, finals, grades, cleaning of rooms, etc. that really occupy my time.

That said, I was excited to get a beat down before my trip to Italy with my wife.

Ray and I rode together for most of the morning. Right before Sublime Road, things slowly went from okay to bad. Every hill seemed like a mountain. We struggled, pushed up, even complained a little bit (well, at least I did).

There is always light at the end of the of the tunnels..our was pizza and heff, oh yeah, and a view!

The next morning, we woke up at 6:00am and began the ride back to the car.

Once again, I found myself going slower than I would have liked....might be time to ride more?

The burnt section of the AZ Trail looked great....just one, long HAB section. As soon as I finished, it was back in the car toward California.

Ray's post here.
